Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Line Apprentice at Level 3 or Level 4 to learn and support the distribution system operations, including construction and maintenance, safety, and on-call coverage 24/7.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid Class A CDL, and experience with distribution systems; relocation within 40 minutes of the site is required; and you must complete MSAT2 or SAT PAQ assessments as applicable. Duke Energy is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Experience with distribution line work and safety practices.
• Ability to pass MSAT2/SAT/PAQ assessments as applicable.
• Willingness to relocate within 12 months as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction and maintenance of the distribution system.
• Promote safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Learn day-to-day operations and specifications of the distribution system.
• Maintain accurate records and support timely communication.
• Be on-call 24/7 and work various shifts as needed.
