Job summary

Xcel Energy in Boulder, CO is seeking a Groundman 1st Year to support electric distribution line work at the Boulder Service Center. You will install and remove conductors, rig for crane operations, drive and operate various vehicles, and use equipment such as ATVs and SNOW CATs under safety guidance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CDL class A, ability to pass the CAST test, and strong safety and communication skills. Local residence within 40 miles of Boulder is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating construction equipment.
• Possess Class A CDL.
• Must pass EEI CAST selection test.
• Strong safety culture and ability to respond after hours.

Responsibilities

• Installing and removing overhead and underground conductors.
• Rigging of all varieties for crane applications.
• Driving and operation of commercial vehicles.
• Helicopter construction support.
• Using specialized equipment like ATVs and Snow Cats.
• Other duties as assigned.
