Xcel Energy's Boulder Service Center in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a Groundman 1st Year to support electric distribution projects, including setting and removing poles and towers and installing and removing conductor.

The role requires CDL, safety awareness, and the ability to travel to other Colorado territories as needed. You’ll work with specialized equipment, operate vehicles, and contribute to a culture of safety and reliability while supporting customers and teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating construction equipment.
• Possess Class A CDL.
• Must pass CAST selection test (EEI).
• Excellent physical condition; able to handle 90 lb jackhammer.
• Willingness to respond to afterhours call outs.

Responsibilities

• Installing and removing overhead and underground conductors.
• Rigging for crane applications.
• Operate various commercial vehicles.
• Support helicopter construction uses.
• Use equipment like ATVs and snow cats.
