Job summary

M&S Engineering, LLC is seeking an Electric Underground/Overhead Distribution Designer to develop distribution designs, manage materials, and prepare construction prints using AutoCAD and GIS tools. The role requires collaborating with contractors, landowners, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet client standards.

The candidate will perform cost estimates, coordinate pre-development meetings, and support environmental and permitting requirements while traveling as needed across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable to drive company vehicles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and GIS mapping.
• Ability to travel overnight to Texas and surrounding states.
• Knowledge of NESC/NEC and safety policies.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce distribution designs and construction prints.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and landowners.
• Perform cost estimates and material planning.
• Edit GIS data to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct pre- and post-construction inspections.
• Maintain compliance with safety codes.
• Prepare easements and exhibits.
• Travel as required to project sites.
