Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Electives teacher to instruct students across Fine Arts, Health, and Technology Applications. You will deliver rigorous content, align with state standards, and track progress toward academic goals.

You’ll plan lessons, analyze data to intervene, and communicate with families weekly while maintaining a strong classroom culture and professional development focus. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Teaching certification or field of study.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Learn, master, and deliver relevant content and grade level curriculum.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Utilize technology to enhance communication and learning.
• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Foster a positive school culture and strong student engagement.
• Build trust with students and families across communities.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed (after school/Saturday).
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and meetings.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and learning.
• Commit to 40+ hours on campus per week.
