IDEA Public Schools in Florida is seeking Electives teachers for grades 6-12 to instruct a range of subjects such as ACT Prep, Art, AVID, Band, Theatre Arts, or AP Psychology.

You will plan rigorous lessons, assess mastery, and track progress to help students achieve ambitious results while embodying IDEA’s values. The role includes after-school duties and potential stipends; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
• Holding or pursuing Florida educator certification is required.
• IDEA offers a certification program for non-certified teachers.

Responsabilités

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Maintain a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Spend 40+ hours on campus weekly; participate in tutoring or extra duties as needed.
