Job summary

Fayette County Elections Office is seeking an Elections Operation Manager to oversee day-to-day election operations, coordinating staff, equipment, and processes to ensure activities are completed accurately and on schedule according to established procedures under the direction of the Elections Director.

Key duties include training poll workers, maintaining EMS equipment, managing advance voting staff, and ensuring ADA accessibility at polling locations.

Qualifications

• - Must have knowledge and competency from specialized training plus basic high school education.
• - Experience sufficient to understand work of subordinate positions, usually 1–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assists with polling locations identification and allocation during reapportionment.
• Oversees election equipment and EMS system setup, inventory, deployment and maintenance.
• Plans, schedules and conducts training for poll workers and updates training materials.
• Serves as primary contact for poll worker questions and operational support.
• Coordinates with internal/external partners for equipment delivery and IT setup at voting locations.
• Manages Advance Voting in-person staff, providing training and issue resolution.
• Oversees Logic and Accuracy testing process.
• Recruits, processes and onboards seasonal election workers.
• Oversees Election Night check-in procedures for poll officials.
• Processes payroll for Election Day poll officials.
• Oversees preparation and execution of the Risk-Limiting Audit.
• Provides operational support to other staff as needed.
• Ensures polling locations meet ADA accessibility requirements.
• Maintains polling place contracts and documentation.
