Job summary

Greene Resources is seeking an Election Equipment Field Technician to join a growing team in New Bern, NC. This full-time, direct-hire role involves weekly overnight travel to customer sites, with per diem and mileage reimbursement.

You will install, upgrade, maintain, and test election equipment, plus provide on-site training and hands-on support. No prior election equipment experience is required, as structured technical training will be provided.

• Ability to understand hardware and software systems in election equipment.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with end-users and coworkers.
• Precise attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to multitask during high-volume workloads.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of all hardware and software systems used by our elections equipment manufacturer.
• Perform installation and upgrades, preventive maintenance, and readiness testing of all components.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for election equipment.
• Complete work orders with detailed documentation of repairs and maintenance.
• Manage equipment parts inventory and ensure timely return of defective components.
• Deliver on-site customer training on setup, operation, and care of election equipment.
