Job summary

sfcollege in Florida seeks a senior eLearning leader to plan, implement, and evaluate online and hybrid learning programs. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive instructional technology initiatives to improve course design, student engagement, and accessibility.

The role requires coordinating with Institutional Research, ensuring ADA/508/WCAG compliance, and advancing AI-aware practices in teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for planning, implementation, and evaluation of eLearning programs aligned with institutional priorities and divisional initiatives.
  • Supervises eLearning staff, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, professional development, and performance evaluation.
  • Develops, implements and manages online and hybrid learning initiatives that promote excellence in course design, student engagement, and instructional innovation.
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes for online courses, including course review standards and scalable course design models.
  • Leads and collaborates in LMS selection, implementation, integration, and support of the college's instructional technologies.
  • Researches, evaluates and recommends instructional technologies, digital tools, and emerging innovations to support teaching and learning effectiveness.
  • Oversees the Educational Media Studio and supports the development of multimedia instructional materials aligned with accessibility standards.
  • Promotes accessible instructional practices and coordinates processes that support compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG.
  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and college stakeholders to improve accessibility and effectiveness of instructional technologies and online learning environments.
  • Develops and delivers training and resources that support accessible course design and inclusive online practices.
  • Serves as a resource for initiatives related to emerging technologies, including AI, evaluating opportunities, risks, and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports data with Institutional Research related to eLearning and instructional technologies to support assessment and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Designs and coordinates professional development opportunities related to eLearning for faculty, staff, and students.

  • Supervises eLearning staff and is responsible for hiring, mentoring, coaching, professional development, and performance evaluation.
  • Develops, implements and manages online and hybrid learning initiatives that promote excellence in course design, student engagement, and instructional innovation.
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance processes for online courses, including course review standards and scalable course design models, such as master course shells.
  • Leads and collaborates in the selection, implementation, integration, and support of the college's learning management system (LMS) and related instructional technologies.
  • Researches, evaluates and recommends instructional technologies, digital tools, and emerging innovations to support teaching and learning effectiveness, engagement, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Oversees the Educational Media Studio and supports the development of high-quality multimedia instructional materials aligned with instructional design and accessibility standards.
  • Serves as a resource within Academic Affairs for institutional digital accessibility efforts by promoting accessible instructional practices and collaborating with stakeholders to coordinate processes that support compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG.
  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and college stakeholders to improve accessibility, usability, and effectiveness of instructional technologies, digital content, and online learning environments.
  • Develops and delivers training, consultation, and resources that support accessible course design, UDL, inclusive and effective online instructional practices.
  • Serves as a resource within Academic Affairs for initiatives related to emerging technologies, including AI, by collaborating with stakeholders in the evaluation of opportunities, risks, and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports data in collaboration with Institutional Research (IR) related to the areas of eLearning, instructional technologies, and online learning initiatives to support assessment, accreditation, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Designs, develops, and coordinates professional development opportunities related to eLearning for faculty, staff, and students to build capacity in instructional technology and online teaching practices.
  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with vendors, organizations, and external partners to support instructional technologies and digital learning initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison and representative of the college in local, state, and national organizations, committees, meetings, and professional activities related to eLearning, instructional technology, and online education.
  • Provides service to the college through participation in events, committees, and other college activities.
  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
  • Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college
