Job summary

CADC is seeking a Cook Aide to assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals in a nutrition program for the elderly, under direct supervision. The role emphasizes maintaining high sanitation standards in food handling and work areas.

You will relieve the cook on shifts when needed and support management with assigned duties while following established guidelines and health regulations for food handlers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Cooking experience for groups preferable.
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of foods for the elderly nutrition program.
• Relieve the cook on shifts when necessary when the cook is absent.
• Keep working areas and equipment clean and sanitary.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management staff.
