Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) in San Diego, CA is seeking an Elder Support Aide to join our compassionate team. You will assist seniors with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain independence in the comfort of their homes.

Outreach includes meal prep, mobility support, light housekeeping, and monitoring health changes under supervision. Candidates should have prior elder care experience, strong communication, patience, valid driver's license, and

Qualifications

• Prior experience in elder care, home health, or caregiver role preferred.
• Genuine compassion, patience, and respect for the elderly population.
• Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
• Strong communication and observational skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and reference verification.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly clients with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and social well-being.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Support safe mobility and transfers, including walking and wheelchair use.
• Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, tidying, and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors.
• Assist with medication reminders and follow care plans.
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities as needed.
