Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The UNCG Gerontology Program, housed in the Department of Social Work, offers an Undergraduate Minor in Gerontology, a Master of Science in Gerontology, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Gerontology. The MS in Gerontology is the only fully online, accredited program in Gerontology in North Carolina. The program aims to develop competent gerontologists who meet the needs of the aging population through a broad, biopsychosocial perspective, preparing students for careers in agencies serving older adults.
Position Summary
The Gerontology Program invites applications for an adjunct instructor in the graduate Gerontology program, specifically to teach the Elder Law for Gerontological Professionals course online over a 7.5-week period from August through October.

Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must meet SACSCOC guidelines for teaching graduate classes, requiring a terminal degree in the field or a combination of a graduate degree and significant relevant work experience. Preferably, the candidate will be an elder law attorney or have elder law practice experience.
