Job summary

Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas is seeking an Elderly Activity Specialist to coordinate activities that promote health, safety, social engagement, and well‑being for Elder Center participants in Eagle Pass, TX.

Under supervision, you will plan, organize, and facilitate recreational, educational, cultural, wellness, and social activities; develop individualized activity plans; and work with tribal departments, vendors, and families to deliver culturally respectful services for elders and

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include HS Diploma/GED or higher with related experience and some supervisory experience.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support activities promoting health, safety, social engagement and well‑being of Elder Center participants.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational, educational, cultural, wellness and social activities.
• Develop individualized activity plans respecting cognitive, physical, and emotional needs.
• Maintain confidential participant files and reports; coordinate with tribal departments and families.
• Recognize and report elder abuse or neglect; monitor safety and emergencies.
