Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks an English Language Development Teacher at an Elevate campus to accelerate language acquisition and academic progress through differentiated, data-driven instruction in a structured environment. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for grade level and/or subject area.
Teaching experience preferred; experience with diverse student populations preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
Prepares lessons reflecting accommodations for individual differences.
Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
