Job summary

Green Dot seeks a Literacy Curriculum Specialist to support ELA and ELD program implementation across multiple schools in the Los Angeles area. The role emphasizes coaching, professional development, and curriculum development to improve student literacy outcomes.

The specialist will travel between the Central Office and school sites, collaborate with site leaders, and help implement district literacy strategies. A master's in education and a valid English credential are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of English teaching at the secondary level.
• Valid secondary English credential required.
• Ability to travel between Central Office (Downtown LA) and school sites around greater Los Angeles.
• Knowledge of Common Core ELA Standards and CA ELD Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional coaching to implement grade-level ELA and ELD instruction.
• Co-plan and analyze student work and data with teachers; conduct demos and observations.
• Collaborate with administrators and department leaders on ELA goals.
• Support curriculum adoption with pacing guidance and assessment design.
• Coach teachers and support schools with data analysis for instructional planning.
• Plan and facilitate ELA professional development.
• Support district and school literacy strategies across sites.
• Coordinate literacy initiatives between home office and campus leadership.
