Job summary

NextGear Capital, a Cox Automotive company, seeks a Portfolio Manager to manage a dealer client portfolio across the El Paso East area. You’ll optimize credit line usage, build client relationships, and mitigate risk in a high-impact role centered on revenue growth and disciplined account management.

The role requires in-person and virtual engagement, Salesforce documentation, and onboarding new clients in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 4+ years related experience in finance, client facing, customer service, B2B, account management and/ or collections.
• Experience in automotive/floorplan industry preferred.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Salesforce.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to read financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Optimize client use of the line of credit within an assigned portfolio ($50k–$2.5M).
• Achieve revenue and profitability goals through proactive client engagement and risk management.
• Educate clients on performance behaviors and self-service options.
• Collect and analyze client financial information and dashboards to monitor dealer performance.
• Identify distressed accounts and coordinate with Risk and Recovery for pre/default and post-default actions.
• Perform inventory inspections and ensure quality control and accurate audits.
• Document conversations and actions in Salesforce and complete campaigns.
• Onboard new clients and develop cross-functional relationships within Cox Automotive.
