Job summary

BASIS Ed Austin is seeking an EL Coordinator to lead language instruction and compliance for English Learners in our Austin campus. This role focuses on direct EL services while coordinating LPAC and state testing processes.

Ideal candidates will have a Texas ESL certificate, experience with EL instruction, and strong collaboration with teachers and families to monitor student progress and ensure high-quality language support.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Texas teaching certificate with ESL Supplemental.
• Proven experience providing language instruction to EL students.
• Knowledge of LPAC procedures and state testing requirements for EL students.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• EL Services and Instruction: provide targeted language instruction and academic support to EL students and develop differentiated lesson plans.
• LPAC and State Testing Oversight: conduct LPAC meetings and coordinate state testing with proper accommodations.
• Progress Monitoring and Assessment: track student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on data.
• Communication: share student progress with teachers and families to ensure transparency and collaborative planning.
