Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an EKG/Telemetry Tech to join the Patient Care Team. You will test, observe, monitor, and interpret patients' EKG rhythms in alignment with departmental policies.

This is an hourly position in Peoria, IL with pay between $18.85 and $21.21 per hour, determined by experience and internal equity. Training will be provided upon hire.

Excellent communication, computer skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must successfully complete EKG training upon hire.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Tests, observes, monitors, and interprets patients' EKG rhythms according to departmental policies.
• Duties may vary slightly by assigned shift and collaborate with the Patient Care Team.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The EKG/Telemetry Tech functions as a member of the Patient Care Team. The EKG/Telemetry Tech is responsible for testing, observing, monitoring, and interpreting patients EKG rhythms in conjunction with the established departmental policies and procedures. Duties may vary slightly by assigned shift.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School/GED

Licenses/Certifications:

• BLS from the American Heart Association

Experience:

• Must successfully complete EKG training upon hire.

Other skills/knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
