Job summary

Corewell Health's Dearborn Hospital is seeking a part-time Non-Invasive Lab EKG Technician to perform electrocardiograms for inpatients and outpatients, verify patient location, and explain procedures to patients. You will perform EKGs on all ages and document results while assisting in related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Completion of a certificate program including EKG technique and interpretation.
• Six months of EKG performance in a hospital or cardiology setting.
• Preferred qualifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performance of electrocardiograms for inpatients and outpatients within the hospital.
• Verifies patient location.
• Explains procedure to patient.
• Performs EKGs on patients of all ages, enters patient information into machine, computer and/or logs as applicable.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Notifies appropriate personnel as necessary if patient needs further assistance.
