Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Project Manager for its Houston Municipal Utility Districts and District Services group. You will coordinate with Land Development, Facilities, and other teams to plan, design, and deliver district infrastructure projects under a licensed professional engineer's guidance.

The role emphasizes proactive client service, strong technical analysis, and collaboration with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring long-term planning and daily operations

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive professional engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and codes applicable to service areas.
• Ability to apply engineering practices and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficient in relevant engineering software and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaborative work style.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans and technical documents for district/public infrastructure projects.
• Perform design calculations and develop supporting technical documentation.
• Review PS&E packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate technical aspects with internal teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders.
• Support client meetings, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Assist with permitting documentation and quality requirements.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in quality control and assurance activities.
