Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our municipal engineering team in Saint Cloud, MN. This entry-level role offers exposure to civil and municipal projects, construction coordination, and cost estimation under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a BSCE and be eligible to take the EIT exam within six months; co-op/internship experience is preferred. Regular office work with field observations is expected.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree and successful completion of the EIT exam or ability to take within six months.
• Co-op/internship experience preferred; 1-2 years for more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support civil design development under PM/PE supervision.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent.
• Perform field work and construction observation as needed.
• Assist in review of shop drawings and submittals; prepare site observation reports.
• Communicate with project team, clients, and contractors.
• Analyze project solutions for reliability, sustainability, cost-effectiveness.
• Utilize 3D modeling technologies in design and analysis.
• Compute and review cost estimates; support budgeting and value engineering.
• Collect and analyze data to support design decisions.
• Interpret and verify compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
