Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools is seeking a ParaProfessional to assist students in the Special Education EI program under supervision. The role focuses on reinforcing learning, supporting teachers, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The position includes duty coverage beyond instructional time, with CPI training and progress tracking for IEPs and PBSPs. Strong teamwork and commitment to student development are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of college study or an associate degree required.
• Experience with students with intensive dysregulation preferred.
• Willingness to participate in CPI training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support teachers with classroom tasks and assessments.
• Differentiate instructional materials to meet individual needs.
• Track student progress per IEP, PCS, and PBSP.
• Supervise non-instructional activities (lunch, bus duty, etc.).
• Assist with field trips and parent communication as needed.
