Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies is seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineer to join a cross-functional team delivering custom water treatment projects. You will lead electrical, controls, and programming design, support production facilities, and participate in FATs and commissioning, while maintaining budget, scope and schedule.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, PLC/HMI/SCADA experience, and a PE or EIT designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Valid passport and driver’s license.
• Understanding of hydraulics, water chemistry and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
• Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS products and systems.
• Experience with control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI and SCADA design and programming.
• Basic technical knowledge in the field of industrial control systems.
• Understanding of Low Voltage Power Distribution System design.
• Professional Engineer or EIT designation.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and comment on engineering documents, including P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, return of experience, and engineering best practices guides.
• Perform required calculations and select the appropriate instrumentation for water treatment facilities as well as all supporting documentation (instrument lists, termination drawings, instrument datasheets, etc.).
• Design the complete detailed electrical design for water treatment facilities (single line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, network architectures, panel design and schematics). Design the complete detailed process control documents (Control Philosophy, Control Logic & Sequence Charts) for plant operation, for assigned projects.
• Perform FATs, CVTs and Commissioning support as required.
• Engage in the development of automation deliverables including test plans, programs, and network design.
• Manage budget, scope, schedule and proactively report risks and opportunities to project teams.
