Job summary

Thrive Freeze Dry in American Fork, UT is seeking an Environmental Health Safety and Security (EHSS) Supervisor to lead site‑level EHSS programs and ensure safe, compliant food manufacturing operations.

You will partner with operations to drive a proactive safety culture, coach managers, manage incident investigations, and oversee training and regulatory communications while maintaining records for audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an EHSS-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional safety certifications (CSP, ASP, CIH, OSHM, or equivalent) preferred.
• OSHA 30‑Hour certification, preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of EHSS experience in manufacturing, including leading programs and measurable improvements.
• Experience communicating with regulatory agencies and third‑party auditors.
• Experience supervising hourly employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of EHSS programs, policies and procedures in a production environment.
• Ensure facility compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations, and company standards.
• Partner with all levels of staff to lead and support EHSS efforts and integrate EHSS principles into daily activities and decision‑making.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, daily floor engagement, reinforcement of safe behaviors and best practices.
• Coordinate post‑accident care and communication to assure effective workers’ compensation case management.
• Oversee site security operations, through the use of technology and/ or human resources, to ensure physical security measures are effective and properly maintained.
