Job summary

Validation & Engineering Group, Inc. invites an EHSS Coordinator to support capital projects and regulatory-driven safety in pharmaceutical and biotechnology environments.

You will coordinate EHSS activities, permits, and field safety, ensuring project alignment with site procedures and regulatory requirements. You will work with project managers and contractors, conduct inspections, support incidents investigations, and help develop EHSS plans and communications.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting EHSS activities in regulated environments.
• Experience supporting construction activities, contractor safety coordination, or capital projects preferred.
• Familiarity with EHSS procedures, safe work permits, hazard identification, and incident reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Support EHSS activities for capital projects and construction-related work.
• Coordinate project safety activities aligned with site EHSS procedures and requirements.
• Develop and implement project-specific EHSS plans, permits, and field safety coordination.
• Assist with safe work permit coordination and contractor safety practices.
• Coordinate toolbox talks, safety communications, and EHSS awareness activities.
• Participate in field inspections, hazard identifications, and safety observations.
• Investigate EHSS incidents and document corrective actions as required.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, and contractors to support safe execution.
• Track and report EHSS metrics and project-related safety documents.
• Attend project meetings and communicate EHSS expectations, risks, and actions.
• Support environmental compliance activities and site environmental procedures.
