Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an EHS Technician to support the EHS&S process at Plant RP/RR, facilitating training and implementing safety, health, and environmental programs across shifts.

Responsibilities include conducting meetings, monitoring safety conditions, maintaining records, and assisting with audits. You will work with plant management to foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. Occasional travel to other locations and new-hire orientation are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Strong communication and willingness to speak to groups
• Proficient with MS Office and Google applications
• Bilingual preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Attend or conduct EHS meetings and training to improve performance.
• Understand Shaw systems (SAFE/SMS/SES/Procedures).
• Monitor unsafe conditions and modify behaviors.
• Provide updates on EHS progress at management meetings.
• Maintain EHS records and SharePoint organization.
• Train new hires with Plant Safety Orientation.
• Back up EHS Manager and support training.
• Ensure regular attendance and travel to other locations as needed.
