Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an EHS Manager to oversee safety and environmental operations at the Thomson, GA facility. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and aligns with Shaw’s policies and best practices.

The position works with multiple teams to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship and maintains high standards of safety integrity. The manager will supervise EHS staff, implement safety programs, coordinate training, and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Must have EHS, environmental and safety experience with regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to develop and manage safety programs
• Experience training teams and driving safety initiatives

Responsibilities

• Supervise EHS Technician and safety-focused teams.
• Develop, manage and own safety systems and compliance elements for the facility.
• Create safety programs aligned with corporate standards and safety culture.
• Ensure associate training meets SAFE and OSHA requirements.
• Support SAFE, SMS, TPM, Lean Six Sigma and environmental efforts.
• Oversee RCRA regulations to maintain small quantity generator status.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and plans (NPDES, Air, RMP, SPCC, SWPPP).
• Submit annual reports (SARA 311/312 Tier II, SARA 313 TRI).
• Coordinate training across the facility for technical, environmental, safety and team development.
• Audit plant systems for compliance.
• Investigate safety incidents to determine root cause.
• Coach plant personnel on safety programs and initiatives.
• Advocate for a safe workplace and engaged associates.
