Zusammenfassung

Kemin is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our Des Moines, IA team. You will deliver safety and environmental training, support audits and risk assessments, and help ensure regulatory compliance across operations.

This hands-on role partners with production, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to foster a safe, compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, maintain records, and participate in lifecycle safety programs and 5S

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or other science related discipline. Highly preferred.
• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, EMT-B, Firefighter I & II certifications.
• Ability to apply safety/environmental knowledge to improve production processes and perform job hazard analyses.

Aufgaben

• Develop and present general employee safety and environmental training and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Participate in incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections/audits and advise management on safety/environmental conditions.
• Provide data collection and reporting, analyze accident trends and recommend actions.
• Maintain records to support safety requirements and training materials.
• Assist with EHS policies, programs, and procedures with EHS Manager.
• Lead 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Organize and lead Safety Stand-Down events.
• Ensure timely completion of internal/external reporting requirements.
