Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an EHS Technician in North Carolina to support safety and environmental improvements across TCP process areas. You will monitor OTIS submissions, assist with Gemba feedback, and help ensure regulatory compliance while driving risk reduction and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and solid knowledge of manufacturing processes; fiber optic knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track OTIS and iKaizen submissions for timely completion and effective implementation.
• Follow up on Gemba walk feedback and audits to close corrective actions.
• Analyze injury and near-miss data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Use HIRA tools to set and update risk ratings across the facility.
• Participate in Ergonomics Team to identify issues and drive improvements.
• Lead and participate in Operational Learning Teams to promote incident learning.
• Inspect hazardous waste, non-regulated waste, recycling areas; implement corrective actions.
• Support 5S initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
• Assist with EHS programs, policies, and training for staff.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to promote a strong safety culture.
