Job summary

Corning Inc. is recruiting an EHS Engineer to promote a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment by integrating EHS programs into plant operations. You will develop, implement, and administer programs, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk assessment, and the hierarchy of controls, with duties spanning training, audits, incident reviews, and program ownership across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in occupational health/safety, environmental engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001:2015, and related regulations and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Report to EHS Manager on site performance, priorities, risks, actions, and progress.
• Support and improve site EHS management systems including ISO 14001 and regulatory programs.
• Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs per gov’t and corporate requirements.
• Monitor compliance, audits, and corrective action effectiveness.
• Interact with regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance matters.
