Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Safety Engineer to join the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team. You will design, implement, and sustain workplace safety programs aligned with OSHA and ISO standards while partnering with site leadership to build a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field.
• 2+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fall protection, confined space entry, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles, crane and hoist, ergonomics, and electrical safety.
• Knowledge of behavioral-based safety or human organizational performance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EH&S action plans, risk control processes, and procedures aligned with OSHA/ISO standards.
• Conduct hazard identifications and risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Design and facilitate EH&S training programs and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Maintain Emergency Response Plan and oversee contractor and construction safety compliance.
