Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and DOT regulations at the Bastrop facility. The role collaborates with engineers and technicians to support manufacturing goals while maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, hazardous waste handling, spill prevention, and daily safety oversight. Must be able to relocate if not local to Bastrop, TX, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects of an EHS program.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct workplace hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards per OSHA limits.
• Assist in site safety policy implementation and PPE assessments.
• Maintain 90-day hazardous waste drum logs and related records.
• Perform RCRA hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal tasks.
• Conduct weekly SWPPP storm water inspections and spill response activities.
