Job summary

SpaceX seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for construction in Bastrop, TX. You will provide technical EHS expertise and implement programs for site construction projects, coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has exposure to OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH standards, and experience in hazard assessments, PPE, incident investigations, and environmental compliance. Relocation to Bastrop may be required; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with construction experience.
• Preferred engineering degree with occupational health & safety emphasis.
• CHST or CSP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce EHS management programs for construction.
• Maintain safety observations from hazard inspections of facilities and activities.
• Identify and mitigate hazards to ensure OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH compliance.
• Collaborate to complete job hazard assessments and PPE requirements.
• Monitor employee exposure to hazards during normal operations and emergencies.
• Educate and provide safety training to construction personnel.
• Investigate incidents and write reports to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain environmental compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT, TECQ, and others.
