Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an EHS Technician I to support safety and environmental programs at our Iowa facility. You will assist in regulatory compliance, conduct inspections, and help document incident investigations while promoting a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating basic safety training, collecting data, and supporting waste management and recycling efforts. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, with 0–2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment (internship/co-op experience acceptable).
• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations or workplace safety principles preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.
• Inspection & Risk Identification: Support routine workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and unsafe conditions.
• Incident Investigation Support: Assist with incident investigations, including documenting findings and helping identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Safety Training: Help coordinate and deliver basic safety training programs, including new hire orientation and recurring safety topics.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Maintain safety records, track basic safety metrics, and assist with report preparation.
• Environmental Support: Assist with waste management, recycling programs, and environmental compliance activities.
