Job summary

Real Time Recruitment Solutions (RTRS) is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor to support multiple facilities nationwide, based in Livermore, CA or Modesto, CA with travel.

You will report to the Director of EHS and lead the development of safety programs, audits, training, and continuous improvement across sites to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years of related EHS experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related discipline preferred.
• Auditing, training, and compliance across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programmes and policies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations.
• Conduct facility audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Lead investigations into accidents and near misses.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and compliance activities.
• Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives.
• Manage contractor safety requirements and third-party compliance programmes.
• Drive employee engagement in safety improvements.
• Support ISO 14001 and other environmental/safety systems.
• Partner with site leaders to identify improvement opportunities.

About the Opportunity

A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor to support a network of operational and service facilities across the United States.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental, Health & Safety, this position will play a key role in driving workplace safety, environmental compliance, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations. The successful candidate will partner closely with operational leadership to maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programmes and policies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct facility audits, inspections, and workplace risk assessments.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, injuries, and near misses.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor and track safety performance metrics and compliance activities.
• Support emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Manage contractor safety requirements and third-party compliance programmes.
• Drive employee engagement and participation in safety improvement initiatives.
• Support ISO 14001 and other environmental and safety management systems.
• Partner with site leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and risk reduction.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree or at least two years of post-secondary education/training and relevant experience.
• Experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within manufacturing, industrial, service, logistics, construction, energy, or related environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Experience with OSHA, NFPA, hazardous materials, hazardous waste management, ISO 14001, or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, training, and compliance activities across multiple sites.
