Job summary
Core Personnel Staffing Services is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist/Technician for a full-time role in the Houston/Katy area, TX. The position focuses on ISO audits, risk reduction, incident investigations, and safety program development in a high-tech electronics manufacturing environment.
You will report to the site EHS Engineer and Regional Group Leader, auditing systems, conducting trainings, and driving a zero-harm safety culture with immediate engineering controls
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- Experience with audits, risk assessment, and incident investigation is required.
- Knowledge of OSHA general industry standards and 5S is preferred.
- Excellent communication and ability to influence at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Assist in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation, auditing, and maintenance.
- Perform floor audits, assess ergonomic/operational risks, and implement engineering controls.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver safety orientations and PPE/chemical handling programs.
- Serve as site technical advisor to management, production, and HR on compliance.
