Job summary

AFL is seeking an EHS Specialist to advance our safety culture across manufacturing operations. You will mentor entry‑level technicians, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement in Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.

The role requires RCA experience, strong leadership, and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive EHS experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading RCA investigations and managing specialized safety programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor EHS Technician I team members and support skill development.
  • Lead safety incident and near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Own and continuously improve one or more EHS programs and serve as subject-matter expert.
  • Drive EHS initiatives that align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and deliver advanced EHS training for employees and contractors.
