Job summary

Pfeiffer Vacuum is seeking an EHS Specialist for the Nashua Service Center to implement and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety programs. You will work with site leadership to identify hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of EHS experience, a related degree, and strong communication skills to promote a proactive safety culture and drive ISO 14001 EMS initiatives.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of occupational safety and environmental compliance principles, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Ability to recognize hazards, evaluate routine EHS risks, and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, and regulatory or audit personnel.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills, including the ability to manage multiple open actions and deadlines.
• Ability to conduct inspections, training, investigations, and audits and document results accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort using electronic EHS management systems.
• Ability to work independently on routine assignments while recognizing when escalation to EHS leadership is required.
• Ability to work onsite at the Nashua Service Center and support the facility’s day‑to‑day EHS needs. Occasional travel may be required for company meetings or EHS training.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and consistent execution of company EHS policies, programs, procedures, and standards at the Nashua Service Center.
• Conduct routine safety, environmental, and compliance inspections; document findings and track corrective actions through closure.
• Identify workplace hazards and unsafe conditions and work with site leadership and employees to implement practical corrective actions.
• Support compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, state, and local EHS requirements and elevate significant compliance concerns to EHS leadership.
• Maintain required EHS records, permits, logs, inspections, and supporting documentation in an organized and audit‑ready manner.
• Assist with annual chemical inventories, SDS management, hazardous materials requirements, and applicable environmental reporting.
• Support hazardous and universal waste management, labeling, accumulation‑area inspections, vendor coordination, and shipment documentation as applicable.
• Support stormwater, air, wastewater, spill prevention, and other environmental compliance programs applicable to the Nashua Service Center.
