Job summary

JLL is seeking an Health, Safety, Security & Environment Specialist to support and advance EHS programs within regulated facilities in Portsmouth, NH. You will lead hazard assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and contractor safety oversight, ensuring OSHA compliance and continuous safety improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in EHS, industrial safety, or related safety disciplines in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and core EHS program components (inspections, investigations, hazard assessments).
• Excellent written/verbal communication and ability to deliver safety training and create documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and records management.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of comprehensive EHS programs, including hazard assessments, permits, PPE, chemical safety, LOTO, and contractor safety.
• Conduct routine facility safety inspections and assist with corrective action planning and audits.
• Deliver safety trainings for staff, contractors, and vendors; maintain training records and SOP updates.
• Assist with incident response, root-cause analysis, and reporting of EHS KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Oversee contractor safety compliance, verify training credentials and permits, and escalate safety concerns as needed.
• Participate in ergonomic reviews, safety improvement initiatives, and emergency planning.
