The role requires strong communication, incident investigation, training development, and the ability to work on the production floor approximately 80% of the time, with opportunities to lead safety programs and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial safety or related field preferred or High School Diploma/GED with 3 years EHS experience
• 5-7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing/automotive industry
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• OSHA certification/CSP/ASP/GSP not required but preferred
• Knowledge of ISO certifications

Responsibilities

• Performs PPE analysis and orders PPE and safety supplies.
• Investigates incidents, performs root cause analysis, tracks injuries, and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews and recommends safety improvements.
• Maintains knowledge of current federal, state, and company EHS regulations and policies.
• Conducts safety training programs for all levels of operations.
• Prepares and documents OSHA/EPA requirements and permits.
