Job summary

Greif is seeking an EHS Specialist to help drive safety and environmental performance across our Texas operations. The role emphasizes data management, reporting, and proactive compliance with EH&S regulations in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to train colleagues on EH&S topics. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2–5 years of relevant EH&S experience preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical abilities to trend data, generate reports and action plans.
• Ability to train and coach colleagues on EH&S issues.

Responsibilities

• Influence plant EH&S awareness and culture through communication with operations teams.
• Deliver data management, reports, scorecards, and analysis to improve performance.
• Explain EH&S regulatory obligations to management and operations.
• Coordinate support for EH&S regulator inspections and inquiries.
• Conduct regular EH&S training relevant to local operations.
• Use tools to track and demonstrate EH&S compliance.
• Report imminent health or environmental threats to regional leadership.
• Procure safety equipment and follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
