Job summary

Raytheon Goleta, CA is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to lead environmental, health and safety programs onsite. The role focuses on ergonomics, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a university degree and at least 2 years in EH&S, with HazWoper certification and ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Onsite role with travel for audits and initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years supporting industrial hygiene programs, environmental compliance, safety programs or ergonomics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Environmental, Occupational Health, or Ergonomics.
• Strong organizational and multi-project management skills.
• Experience in RCCAs and EH&S training.
• HazMat emergency response experience; 40-hour HazWoper.
• Certifications: CSP, CHMM or other certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage environmental, health and safety programs including ergonomics, safety, and incident investigation.
• Develop initiatives and advise employees on ergonomics and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate communication of policies and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent EHS program implementation.
• Conduct regular inspections and lead regulatory inspections.
• Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to management and staff.
• Perform incident investigations and root cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Provide EH&S training and participate in audits and preparedness programs.
• Travel to support audits and Raytheon initiatives.
