Job summary

Tarkett is seeking an EHS Specialist to help develop, implement, and maintain an environmental health and safety program at our Dalton, GA area site. The role focuses on compliance, training, and behavioral safety to promote a safe, injury-free workplace.

You will support ISO 14001/18001, conduct audits, deliver training, manage data and reports, and help advance a culture of Safety First across the plant. You will spend significant time on the plant floor and may work irregular hours to support

Qualifications

• 2+ years of safety and industrial hygiene experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates Degree in Safety, Industrial Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist all aspects of the Environmental Health and Safety program.
• Assist in ensuring compliance to Safe Work Practices (SWP) and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.).
• Conduct training, assessments, audits, and investigations as part of the World Class Manufacturing system.
• Support ISO 14001 / 18001 EHS requirements and audit process for continued certification.
• Deliver safety training presentations for both small and large audiences, hourly and salaried.
