Job summary

CARBO, a leading technology and service company, seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support compliance and safety initiatives across CARBO manufacturing facilities. You will conduct inspections, coordinate environmental monitoring and reporting, support employee training, investigate incidents, and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications

BS degree or higher in environmental science, health & safety, or related field.
0–3 years EHS experience in a plant environment or EHS regulatory agency.
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, math and attention to detail.
Knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations and OSHA/MSHA preferred.
Able to manage multiple tasks across locations and travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on EHS compliance support for CARBO domestic facilities.
Collect air, water and waste samples for lab analysis and regulatory submittals.
Inspect facilities regularly to identify hazards and report findings.
Develop and maintain relationships with plant leaders and EHS staff.
Assist in developing and implementing environmental policies, programs and standards.
Deliver EHS training programs and coordinate safety committees.
Coordinate with governmental agencies for information requests, inspections and enforcement.
Prepare environmental reports for state and federal agencies.
Perform related EHS duties and special projects as needed.
