Job summary

Tarkett Hospitality location seeks an EHS Specialist to develop and maintain an environmental health and safety program, aiming for zero injuries while meeting regulatory requirements. The role reports to the site EHS Manager and involves conducting trainings, audits, and data analysis on the plant floor.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in Safety/Industrial Hygiene in manufacturing, strong OSHA/EPA knowledge, and bilingual English/Spanish preferences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Safety and Industrial Hygiene in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates Degree in Safety, Industrial Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA (ADEM) regulations.
• Knowledge of Tier II and FORM R reporting, Air permitting, and hazardous waste management.
• Knowledge of workers compensation law and return-to-work programs.
• Excellent verbal and written skills including technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the Environmental Health and Safety program.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Work Practices (SWP), regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, NFPA) and plant policies.
• Conduct training, audits, and investigations as part of World Class Manufacturing.
• Assist with ISO 14001/18001 EHS requirements and audit process.
• Deliver safety training presentations for multiple audience sizes.
• Provide EHS orientation to new and temporary associates.
• Support contractor/vendor safety training and compliance.
• Perform behavioral-safety observations and trend analyses.
• Assist in data management and reporting for EHS initiatives.
• Help with ergonomic assessments and PPE selection/trials.
• Support workers compensation management and return-to-work programs.
