Job summary

Bunge is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist to support the implementation of EHS programs and maintain compliance across facilities in Indiana. The role emphasizes safety-first culture, incident prevention, and regulatory adherence.

The candidate will lead safety trainings, inspect facilities for SHE compliance, maintain regulatory records, and participate in investigations to prevent recurrence. Strong communication and PC skills are essential; OSHA knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred or up to 3 years of safety or environmental experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement organization Safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy and zero-incident work environment.
• Communicate safety issues, concerns and policy changes to all plant personnel, including training for staff, visitors and contractors.
• Inspect facility areas for SHE compliance with local, state/provincial and federal rules and regulations.
• Maintain and organize regulatory records.
• Track injuries and equipment damage events.
• Assist management with accident investigations to identify causes and preventive measures.
• Support environmental sustainability at the facility.
• Enforce policies to reduce high potential exposures.
• Support fire protection equipment and loss prevention inspections.
• Execute response plans during environmental emergencies.
• Assist with Process Safety Management programs at locations handling solvents and gases.
• Coordinate worker’s compensation claims with insurers.
• Implement fire protection and security systems to protect property.
