Job summary

Mount Kemble Search Group is seeking an EHS Specialist for a leading CT manufacturer in Thomaston. The role reports to an EHS Manager and works with site management to ensure programs comply with internal policies promoting Environmental Health and Safety.

This hands-on position runs ~8am-5pm, Monday to Friday in Thomaston, CT, with duties including administrative support, data tracking, and regulatory reporting. Occasional overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in life science, safety, environmental or a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate clearly with teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and data management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines and coordinate with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative assistance to EHS teams, including filing, reporting, and maintaining databases.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to gather information and updates.
• Manage all state and federal EHS reporting requirements.
• Support maintenance of EHS regulatory information management systems.
• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Participate in inspections, assessments, and surveys to identify hazards.
• Assist in investigating accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents, completing necessary reports.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, audits, and safety reports.
• Collect and analyze data related to EHS performance metrics.
• Assist with developing and delivering EHS training programs.
• Help oversee all environmental health and safety programs of the facility.
• Data entry and interpretation of KPIs and processes.
• Regular attendance required. Mandatory overtime may be required in special circumstances.
• Adhere to company safety requirements.
