Job summary

Lightera is seeking an EHS Specialist to support hazard prediction, incident investigation, and training at the Carrollton site. You will apply risk classifications, assist with JHA development, and help drive compliance across the value stream.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a safety-related field (or equivalent) and 1–3 years in manufacturing, with strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams in a nationwide framework.

Qualifications

• Strong training and motivational skills to influence behavioral change across departments.

• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Advanced Excel skills for risk classification and monthly EHS reporting, plus Word and PowerPoint proficiency for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support hazard-prediction and KYT sessions, ensure follow-through on actions.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis, document findings for leadership.
• Develop training content and deliver New Hire/Contractor Safety Orientation.
• Maintain EHS plans, compile monthly safety targets, and support regulatory compliance.
• Assist in hazard identification, risk assessment, and JHA development.
• Support environmental aspects and regulatory input for site programs.
