Job summary

Lightera is seeking an EHS Technician to support recordkeeping, data entry, and routine safety reporting at Carrollton Cable and Connectivity sites. You will work under the Senior EHS Manager, handling PPE coordination, safety communications, and day-to-day data management with strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Manage user access and support day-to-day use of compliance software (Mitti).
Manipulate data exported from reporting systems in Excel for reporting across sites.
Enter data for recurring monthly safety reporting.
Build monthly EHS results deck using templates and source reports.
Maintain incident documentation and track actions to closure.
Coordinate PPE vouchers, appointments, and vendor scheduling.
Update PPE supplies and shift handover processes.
Maintain hazardous waste manifest tracking workbook and SQG thresholds.
Coordinate waste disposal and recycling pickups with vendors.
Support SPCC and SWPPP compliance as part of Pollution Prevention Team.
Enter Scope 1, 2, and 3 data into sustainability system.
Maintain chemical inventory and safety data sheets access.
Coordinate contractor and visitor orientation and training records.
Update safety boards and procurement system entries (SAP).
Track EHS master calendar and scheduling for Connectivity/Carrollton.
