Job summary

Ashland, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health, Safety & Training Manager for its Texas City, Texas manufacturing plant. You will own the EHS program, lead risk assessments, and drive training initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations for a complex facility.

The role requires a BS in Industrial Safety or related field and a minimum of ten years in industrial safety, with at least five years in safety and environmental management. Travel within the US is possible.

Qualifications

BS in Industrial Safety or related technical field; minimum ten years total industrial safety, environmental, and regulatory experience.
Five years in safety and environmental management within manufacturing or distribution settings.
Must wear PPE and navigate a plant environment; travel within the US may be required; authorized to work in the US.
Strong knowledge of EHS regulatory structures, Responsible Care, and company requirements.
Preferred certifications and experience with regulatory agencies and emergency response.

Responsibilities

Own plant safety, health, regulatory, and environmental performance for the Texas City site.
Conduct risk and hazard assessments; lead root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and measure EHS programs and performance indicators.
Create and deliver EHS training materials; communicate clearly to all audiences.
Maintain knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office; drive safety initiatives with a cross‑functional team.
Collaborate with management to improve safety and environmental compliance; travel as needed.
